working
got a knoppix booted,
Knoppix got the following things working:
- X is running (see XF86config later on)
- Network is running on eth1 (eth0 is Wlan, have no ways to test that one..)
- sound doesn't work (bad omen, but i could live without sound...)
Debian testing installation:
- boot with linux acpi=off, better with pci=noacpi that way you can
activate acpi later (support of powerbutton etc)
- follow the install routine
- before rebooting, activate the 2nd console and use nano to add
kopt=acpi=off or kopt=pci=noacpi to the /target/..../boot/grub/menu.lst
- reboots happily, install the rest of the packages
- X runs out of the box.
- Lan and sound worked out of the box
- sleep to disk worked out of the box with hibernate, only ACPI couldn't be activated
Untested, otherwise not working stuff
